The 30th Tashkent international tourism fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” kicks off

The fair is organized by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the SI “National PR-Centre”, the SUE “Interforum”. This year, the Tashkent International Tourism Fair will be held at the “CAEx” International Exhibition Center (Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan).
For reference: The TITF is a major information event that promotes tourism products and establishes business contacts and contacts for cooperation. Over the past three decades, the TITF has proven itself as one of the most prominent events in the field of tourism and is the largest event in Central Asia, which is held annually with the official support of the UN Tourism.
The opening ceremony of TITF-2025 was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Umid Shadiyev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Vakhrukov, Chairman of the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtas Karipbaev, Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Juma Khonzoda, newly elected UN Tourism Secretary-General, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais (via video message); as well as representatives of both local and international organizations, participants of the fair, and members of the media.
On the first day of fair, two sessions were held with the participation of leading international and national experts on the topics: “Cultural heritage and tourism: traditions for the future” and “Innovative routes and new travel experiences” and several private projects were also presented.
As part of the fair, a tourism exhibition will be held featuring representatives from over 300 companies worldwide. The event will also include International culinary championship with renowned chefs, where more than 200 culinary experts from more than 30 countries will compete. A “Media Campus” will serve as an interactive platform for journalists, bloggers, and tourism promotion specialists. Additionally, thematic forums and sessions will cover aviation, education, environmental issues, and pilgrimage, with participation from leading international and domestic tourism experts. The fair will also facilitate B2B meetings between representatives of private companies from various countries, organize round table discussions, and host exhibitions showcasing tourist services and handicrafts.
Furthermore, TITF-2025 is expected to welcome up to 15,000 visitors, including locals and guests from CIS countries, Asia, and Europe. Visitors and participants of the fair will have a unique opportunity to discover new travel destinations, immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and traditions of foreign countries, and explore the tourism potential of new locations across all regions of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the reforms carried out in the field of tourism in Uzbekistan in recent years have contributed to the attraction of the largest companies and representative offices to Uzbekistan, the increase of incoming and outgoing passenger flow and outbound tourism, as well as the growth of demand for all types of tourism services.
