Uzbekistan and Russia strengthen cooperation in tourism

The meeting, chaired by the First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan D. Abdusalamov and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation D. Vakhrukov, was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, tourism organizations, educational institutions, and business structures from both countries.
The parties discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements, the execution of the 2025–2026 Cooperation Program, and the results of activities carried out during the “Year of Uzbekistan Tourism in Russia,” noting a positive trend in mutual tourist exchanges.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to further promote joint tourism products, develop educational programs, improve transport accessibility, and strengthen marketing activities.
As part of the event, the 2nd Uzbek-Russian Tourism Forum was also held. Forum participants highlighted the importance of strengthening business ties, promoting cultural heritage, and attracting new tourist flows, all of which contribute to expanding economic and cultural connections between Uzbekistan and Russia.
