Uzbekistan and Jordan agree on promoting mutual tourism routes

As part of the 26th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, met with Emad Al-Hijazin, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the discussions, a Tourism Cooperation Program for 2026–2027 was signed, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and developing tourism exchanges between Uzbekistan and Jordan.
The document provides for the implementation of joint initiatives in cultural, pilgrimage, and medical tourism, the exchange of experience in marketing and digitalization of the sector, and the promotion of mutual tourism routes. During the meeting, the parties also agreed on mechanisms for the practical implementation of each item of the program and expressed their readiness for active cooperation on both bilateral and international platforms.
