Tourism cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea discussed

In Riyadh, as part of the UN World Tourism Organization General Assembly, Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Kim Dae Hyun, Vice Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.
The meeting focused on tourism cooperation, enhancing the qualifications of Uzbek specialists in Korea, organizing mentorship programs jointly with KOICA, and establishing academic collaboration between the Samarkand International Tourism Academy and Korean universities.
The parties also agreed on implementing joint projects to expand tourist exchange between the two countries, create comfortable conditions for Korean tourists visiting Uzbekistan, and promote cultural heritage sites.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Kim Dae Hyun highly praised Uzbekistan’s rich cultural traditions and tourism potential, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
