Tashkent hosts international conference on medical tourism

The event is organized by the Research Institute for Tourism Development with the support of the Tourism Committee. The forum, held at the MGIMO Tashkent Branch, brings together leading experts, scholars, and representatives of the tourism industry from more than 10 countries, including India, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Malta, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, and others.
The conference focuses on innovative technologies, telemedicine, personalized healthcare, environmental standards in the spa and wellness sector, and the training of international specialists.
The main goals of the forum are to exchange experience, develop practical solutions, and create sustainable models for the development of medical and eco-tourism.
In addition, the event features an exhibition titled “Medical Tourism: Innovations and Trends”, where tour operators and visitors can explore sanatoriums, traditional medicine, oriental cosmetics, and wellness tour programs. The agenda also includes plenary sessions, master classes, B2B meetings, and round tables.
On the first day of the conference, several memorandums of cooperation were signed between the Research Institute for Tourism Development under the Tourism Committee and the Association for Medical and Academic Tourism of the Russian Federation, the MGIMO Tashkent Branch of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other partners.
On the final day of the forum, participants will take part in a field program, visiting leading health resorts in the Tashkent region to learn about their natural resources and modern wellness methods.
The conference will run until November 12, and a collection of scientific papers will be published following the forum’s conclusion.
