The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The gathering brought together representatives of government organizations, travel agencies, and tourism companies from the United Kingdom.

Participants were introduced to Uzbekistan’s rich tourism opportunities and its unique historical and cultural heritage. Tourist routes through the ancient cities — centers of civilization along the Great Silk Road — were also presented.

As part of the program, guests viewed a documentary film by the renowned British scholar, writer, and television presenter Bettany Hughes, titled “Uzbekistan: The Golden Road”. The film is the result of fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in the field of tourism.

Participants noted that the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector in recent years have led to a growing interest among international travelers.

It was emphasized that the development of tourism in Uzbekistan focuses not only on attracting foreign visitors but also on preserving the country’s historical and cultural heritage, promoting sustainable regional development, and strengthening international cooperation.

The event concluded with a parade of national costumes, performances by artists, and a tasting of traditional Uzbek cuisine.
