Currently, there are two sports schools in the city, where about 60 coaches engage more than 2,600 young people in training.
The regional leader sharply criticized the fact that the results of Kokand athletes in national and international competitions do not meet the required level. It was especially emphasized that the youth of the region should occupy leading positions in all types of competitions, expand the ranks of promising athletes, and increase the number of sports clubs. To this end, concrete tasks and practical measures were set for the responsible officials.
Afterwards, the governor visited the “Central” stadium of the “Kokand-1912” team to review the preparation for the new season. It was noted that all necessary conditions have been created for players and fans, including new stands and a modern lighting system. Here, the governor also discussed preparations for the Super League matches with the officials and agreed on the upcoming tasks.
