The Uzbekistan–Belarus Interparliamentary Forum was held in the city of Khiva. Issues of industrial cooperation, joint investment, and realizing labor potential were discussed.
The main goal is to enrich the cooperation between the two countries with practical projects that contribute to new jobs, higher household incomes, and the development of human capital.
At the plenary session, Deputy Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction Rano Turdiboyeva presented Uzbekistan's approaches to expanding employment, increasing incomes, and developing human capital.
The forum paid particular attention to making effective use of labor potential, expanding joint projects, training personnel, and strengthening social partnership.
On the sidelines of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus.
The memorandum signed between the two ministries aims to develop cooperation in labor and employment, improve labor legislation, promote employment, strengthen occupational safety, digitalize the sector, and develop professional qualification standards.
