According to Article 37 (paragraphs "b" and "e") of the Law "On State Pension Provision for Citizens," the following are counted toward the length of service that grants the right to a pension:

• military service, as well as service in state security bodies, the National Guard, and internal affairs bodies;
• full-time study at higher education institutions, postgraduate studies, doctoral studies, and other academic stages (including studying abroad).

NOTE!

For the period of higher education to be counted toward length of service, a total work record of at least 7 years is required.

No prior work record is required for military service to be counted toward length of service.
