Occupational safety is not only about protection from technical hazards. Preventing pressure, violence, and psychosocial risks is also an essential part of a safe working environment.
The Regulation approved by Resolution No. 819 of the Cabinet of Ministers, dated December 24, 2025, sets out the employer's duties to create favorable working and rest conditions for employees, as well as to prevent pressure and violence and to prevent their manifestation in any form.
In addition, Resolution No. 706 of the Cabinet of Ministers, dated November 7, 2025, grants the State Labor Inspectorate the authority to exercise state oversight in this area as well.
This calls for a modern approach to occupational safety — one that focuses on identifying, assessing, and preventing new risks, including workplace pressure, violence, and psychosocial risks.
An employee's safety is not only about protection from equipment-related, electrical, height-related, or other physical hazards. A psychologically safe working environment, free from violence, is likewise an integral part of occupational safety.
