Uzbekistan–China: A New Stage of Cooperation in Agriculture

Tashkent State Agrarian University hosted the opening ceremony of the "Program for Training Skilled Personnel and Practical Maize-Growing Technologies in Uzbekistan," held in cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and with the participation of a delegation from Xinjiang Agricultural University of China.
The parties discussed strengthening human capacity in the agricultural sector, adopting modern technologies, and further developing Uzbekistan–China cooperation.
The program includes theoretical and practical training sessions on maize cultivation, water-saving irrigation, soil fertility improvement, mechanization, and other modern agricultural technologies.
The event is also being attended by 40 Uzbek farmer-practitioners, who will apply the knowledge and experience gained to their own regions.
