Modern Intensive Orchard Established on 107 Hectares in Pop District

In cooperation between the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and the Agency for Agro-Industrial Development, an industrial intensive orchard covering 107 hectares has been established in the Pop district of Namangan region, aimed at ensuring employment and developing agricultural cooperatives.
As part of the project, around 60,000 high-yield, export-oriented fruit saplings imported from abroad were planted:
- Apricot – 32,990 trees (50 hectares);
- Peach – 16,989 trees (26 hectares);
- Cherry – 9,591 trees (15 hectares).
This project contributes to the development of modern horticulture in agriculture, as well as the creation of new jobs and increased incomes for the region's population.
