"Dairy Value Chain Development. Phase 2" Procurement Specialist

1. Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist of the project “Dairy Value Chain Development. Phase 2" (the Project), implemented with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and based in Tashkent. The Procurement Specialist will enter the Project implementation team and will be responsible for the execution of all procurement activities under Project following the IFAD procedures, regulations. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and management of a reporting system that will allow the Project Manager to track and monitor all procurement operations under the project for auditing inspections and for preparation of progress reports to the Government of Uzbekistan and IFAD.

C) Qualifications and experience

The Procurement specialist must meet the following qualifications and have the required experience:

• Higher education in economics, logistics, procurement management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of work experience in procurement, preferably in projects financed by international organizations (World Bank, IFAD etc.).
• Knowledge of international procurement standards (e.g., FIDIC, IFAD guidelines).
• Experience in preparing tender documentation and contract management.
• Computer literacy (MS Office, electronic procurement systems).
• Proficiency in Uzbek and/or Russian. Good working and technical knowledge of English is required.

D) Remuneration

The monthly salary for the position of Project manager is USD 1 100 (including income tax).
