About Shakhrisabz City Administration
Shakhrisabz City Administration is the local executive authority exercising executive power within Shakhrisabz, Kashkadarya Region.
In 2017, Shakhrisabz was classified as a city of regional subordination. The city administration was established under Presidential Resolution No. PP–3124 of 11 July 2017.
The administration operates in accordance with the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the Law on Local State Authority, presidential decrees and resolutions, Cabinet of Ministers acts and other legislation.
Main Responsibilities
Within its statutory powers, the administration:
- ensures the city’s socio-economic development and implementation of state programmes;
- takes measures to attract investment, develop entrepreneurship and create jobs;
- organizes work on employment, poverty reduction and development of social sectors;
- performs tasks relating to construction, municipal services, roads, landscaping and ecology;
- considers appeals from individuals and legal entities in accordance with the prescribed procedure;
- ensures local implementation of legislation and acts of higher executive authorities.
Organization of Activities
The Mayor heads the city administration and adopts decisions and issues orders within the powers established by law.
The management apparatus operates on the basis of the relevant model regulation approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 123 of 27 April 2016.
The apparatus provides analytical, legal, organizational, technical, financial and administrative support, drafts the Mayor’s acts and monitors their implementation.

Appeals from individuals and legal entities are considered in accordance with the Law of Uzbekistan on Appeals from Individuals and Legal Entities.
