Center for State Ecological Expertise

The event was attended by the Khokim of Tuproqqala District, representatives of the Center for State Ecological Expertise, the Main Department of Ecology and Climate Change of Khorezm Region, the Directorate of the “Khazarasp” Free Economic Zone, the project initiator and design organizations, specialists, mahalla activists, representatives of the public, and mass media.

During the event, the main technological solutions of the planned production complex, its potential environmental impact, as well as measures to ensure environmental safety were discussed.

At the public hearings, Mashkhurbek Omonkuldiyev, a representative of the Directorate of the “Khazarasp” Free Economic Zone, delivered a presentation on the objectives of the project, planned activities, key production capacities, and the significance of the project for the region.

The presentation focused particular attention on the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), e-Sustainable Aviation Fuel (e-SAF), and green diesel fuel, the implementation of modern environmental technologies, the use of renewable energy sources, reducing environmental impact, and the rational use of water resources.

The importance of the project for the socio-economic development of the region and the creation of new employment opportunities for the local population was also highlighted.

The presentation included the main project indicators and production capacities. In particular, the project is expected to produce 160,400 tonnes of SAF, 257,000 tonnes of e-SAF, and 5,040 tonnes of green diesel fuel annually.

During the public hearings, an exchange of views took place on issues related to air quality protection, the rational use of water resources, wastewater treatment, the management of industrial and consumer waste, and ensuring environmental safety.

Following the public hearings, the project received approval and support from local residents and representatives of the public.
