New Environmental Assessment Mechanisms Being Put into Practice

For the purpose of effectively implementing modern environmental impact assessment mechanisms, the Tashkent City Main Department of Ecology and Climate Change and the Tashkent City Branch of the Center for State Ecological Expertise are working jointly.
As part of this cooperation, particular attention is being paid to improving the state environmental expertise process, enhancing the efficiency of document review, exchanging information, and discussing practical issues.
The introduction of new mechanisms will ensure greater transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of environmental assessment procedures, while enabling the timely identification of environmental risks and the implementation of preventive measures.
The overarching objective is to ensure environmental safety in the implementation of every project and type of activity, while preserving a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations.
