A seminar-training session on new mechanisms for environmental impact assessment was conducted.

During the four-day training seminar, participants examined in detail the legal framework, objectives and tasks of state environmental expertise, the procedure for submitting environmental impact assessment materials for state environmental expertise, as well as the requirements applicable to objects subject to environmental expertise.
In addition, participants gained practical knowledge on the stages of environmental impact assessment, preparation of EIA materials, public participation, and environmental monitoring. Particular attention was paid to the procedure for conducting public hearings and the preparation and publication of their results.
The training sessions also addressed the development of environmental standards, environmental classification, prevention of corruption risks in the state environmental expertise process, the legal status of environmental expertise, and liability.
As a result of the seminar-training, participants strengthened their knowledge and skills in effectively applying modern environmental impact assessment mechanisms, identifying environmental risks in a timely manner, and developing measures to mitigate them.
The seminar-training contributes to the wider implementation of modern approaches in the environmental expertise system, strengthening the professional capacity of specialists, and ensuring the effectiveness of environmental protection measures.
