According to the Resolution, from August 1, 2026, to January 1, 2028, hunting of rare and endangered wild animal species listed in Annex No. 1 to the Resolution is prohibited throughout the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, this prohibition does not apply to hunting of wild animals that are kept and/or bred in farms, breeding nurseries, hatcheries, fish hatcheries, and pond fish farms, nor does it apply to cases where such animals are used for scientific or medical purposes.
Furthermore, when establishing and allocating hunting quotas, no quotas may be issued for rare and endangered wild animal species whose hunting is prohibited under the Resolution.
The adoption of this Resolution is aimed at implementing the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-16 of January 30, 2025, "On the State Program for the Implementation of the 'Uzbekistan–2030' Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy," as well as strengthening measures to compensate for damage caused to wildlife and ensuring the sustainability of ecosystems.
