Measures Implemented at the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade in the Framework of Implementing the State Youth Policy
At the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, systematic measures are being taken to implement the state youth policy, work with young employees within the system, provide them with comprehensive support, unlock and further develop their existing potential, and assist in their spiritual, intellectual, physical, and moral development.
In particular, at present, 132 young employees are working in the central office of the Ministry. In order to effectively organize the study of their initiatives, support their proposals, and create the necessary conditions for their professional growth, intellectual development, and active participation in the life of the state and society, the Council of Youth Leaders of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan has been established at the Ministry.
This Council, within the framework of sectoral programs adopted by the Ministry, regularly implements various measures, seminars and meetings, roundtable discussions, and other events.
Specifically, in order to ensure the consistent implementation of the state youth policy within the Ministry system, study the initiatives of young employees, support their proposals, and create favorable conditions for their comprehensive development and active participation in public and state life, regular meetings in the “Leader and Youth” format have been introduced.
Thus, the agenda of the meeting held on June 30, 2025, in celebration of Youth Day included issues related to the attention given to youth in recent years, the large-scale state youth policy being consistently implemented, as well as the creation of necessary conditions for the sectoral and professional growth and intellectual development of young employees.
Similarly, the meeting held in this format on December 25, 2025, focused on further improving youth-related activities and creating additional opportunities. During the discussion, young employees shared their views, opinions, and suggestions, put forward proposals for creating additional opportunities for youth, and agreed on plans for their implementation.
Such meetings are held regularly throughout the year and serve as an important platform for dialogue, listening to the opinions of young employees, strengthening team relations, and developing the “leader–young employee” and “mentor–mentee” systems.
Special programs have been introduced to strengthen the professional training of newly recruited young employees, ensure their rapid adaptation to the team, organize their effective participation in the Ministry’s activities, and develop their potential.
In particular, within the framework of special seminar-training sessions, discussions and practical classes are organized between heads of structural divisions of the Ministry and young employees. These sessions cover the Ministry’s main strategy, areas of activity, goals and objectives, internal regulations, corporate ethics and conduct standards, fundamentals of communication with investors and effective cooperation, as well as other relevant issues.
In addition, within the principles of working with youth and in order to further strengthen the knowledge and professional skills necessary for personal and professional development, weekly “Professional Enlightenment Hour” events are organized based on the “Mentor–Mentee” tradition. These events provide knowledge in selected areas and topics, facilitate experience sharing, strengthen acquired skills, and promote their practical application.
Furthermore, various development programs are being systematically and regularly implemented to create additional opportunities for enhancing and strengthening the level of knowledge and professional skills of young employees.
For example, special English language courses have been organized in cooperation with the Uzbekistan branch of the American Councils for International Education and the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, with broad participation from Ministry employees.
Similarly, with the involvement of specialists and experts from the reputable Irish company “Saviday,” a special training program has been introduced for employees in areas such as investment attraction, organization of export processes, development of investment strategies, and other related fields.
It should be noted that such seminars and practical training sessions conducted throughout the year generate significant interest among Ministry employees, especially among youth.
In particular, during 2025, seminars and practical trainings were regularly held in cooperation with the international law firm “White & Case” in the field of investment attraction, with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation on the module “Improving Management Efficiency,” as well as on other sector-related topics.
Notably, these events provide employees not only with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and qualifications but also serve as an engaging platform for discussion and exchange of views.
In order to support the initiatives of young employees within the system, unlock and further enhance their potential, and additionally stimulate their interests, the practice of inviting renowned scholars, entrepreneurs, and initiators of startup projects to dialogue meetings has been introduced.
For instance, on February 28 of the current year, a meeting between the Ministry’s leadership and young employees was organized under the slogan “Youth Are the Builders of the Future.” The event was attended by the Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, the Head of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Chairman of the Youth Union, the Head of a Department of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the founder of the “korzinka.uz” supermarket chain, founders of the “Ibrat Farzandlari,” “Mutolaa,” “Ustoz AI,” “UzChess,” and “National Karaoke” startups, as well as other experts. The speakers highlighted issues related to the comprehensive development of youth, their broad involvement in entrepreneurial activities, and the creation of favorable conditions for fully realizing youth potential.
At the end of the event, certificates of honor were awarded to the most active young employees of the Ministry, as well as to entrepreneurs who achieved significant results in production and export activities.
Systematic work is also being carried out to promote a healthy lifestyle among youth, ensure meaningful leisure activities, and create conditions for the mass development of youth sports.
For example, in order to foster interest in mass sports among the Ministry’s staff, table tennis and chess tournaments were organized from April 7 to 11, 2025, with the participation of Ministry employees. Prize funds were established to create a competitive spirit, and commemorative prizes were awarded to the winners.
In addition, within the framework of measures aimed at developing staff potential, especially among youth, fostering a culture of teamwork, and encouraging creative thinking, the “Zakovat” intellectual game was held among Ministry employees on October 22, 2025. Representatives of the Ministry’s structural divisions demonstrated a high level of knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork skills. At the end of the competition, the most active and initiative teams were awarded certificates of honor and commemorative gifts.
Similarly, on November 7, 2025, a cultural and educational event was organized at the Ministry under the main theme “Trade Unions of Uzbekistan – 120 Years with the People.” Within the framework of the event, a practical seminar and sports competitions in table tennis, chess, and checkers were held with broad participation of Ministry employees.
Team-building events are regularly organized with the participation of the Ministry’s managers and specialists. In particular, on June 14 of the current year, an event was held at the “Zamona Rano Eco Village” complex in Tashkent region, during which the Ministry’s leadership and employees enjoyed cultural recreation in nature and participated in engaging programs and competitions.
It should be emphasized that such events not only create a positive mood among employees, especially youth, but also significantly contribute to strengthening team unity and cohesion.
Young employees of the system actively participate in various cultural and educational events organized by the Ministry on the eve of nationally celebrated holidays and important dates.
For example, on February 14, 2025, a spiritual and educational event was held in honor of the 584th anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi and the 542nd anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. As part of the event titled “The Works of Alisher Navoi and Babur – an Invaluable Spiritual Treasure,” a discussion was organized with Farogat Khudoykulova, an employee of the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for Education Development.
On the eve of October 21, 2025 — the Day of the State Language of Uzbekistan — poet Sirojiddin Raupov was invited to an event, where he spoke about the role of the mother tongue in shaping national identity and spiritual values, as well as about educating youth in the spirit of literate speech and love for the word.
Similarly, within the framework of celebrations marking the 34th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on August 29 of the current year, another meeting was held under the slogan “For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People!” During the event, the Ministry’s leadership spoke to young employees about the significance of this cherished national holiday, achievements in the sector, ongoing activities, and future plans. A group of young employees who demonstrated dedication, high responsibility, and professional excellence in their work were awarded Certificates of Honor.
In addition, within the framework of these festive events, a visit by a group of young Ministry employees to the “Victory Park” memorial complex was organized. During the visit, employees paid tribute at the “Devoted Sons of the Nation” alley dedicated to the memory of military personnel and law enforcement officers who died in defense of the country during the years of independence, and familiarized themselves with the exhibitions of the State Museum of Glory and Honor and the heroic history of the Uzbek people.
Similar events were also held on November 18, 2025, in celebration of the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag under the slogan “One Motherland, One Nation, One Flag!”, as well as dedicated to December 8 — the Day of Adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, December 9 — International Anti-Corruption Day, and December 10 — the Day of Adoption of the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Undoubtedly, this experience serves to organize sincere dialogue with youth, foster a genuine spirit of patriotism and involvement, and contribute to their personal development.
In turn, within the framework of implementing youth policy in the system of the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, systematic work on holding regular meetings with young employees, strengthening their sense of involvement in the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, unlocking and demonstrating their potential, and widely engaging them in various activities will be continued in 2026 as
