Gender equality
The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade reports on the activities carried out in 2026 to ensure gender equality, protect the rights and interests of women, support them, and create opportunities for women to realize their potential in various fields.
As part of the initiative to transform the Asian Women’s Forum, scheduled to be held in May this year, into a permanent platform, the Ministry is actively cooperating with other ministries and agencies in areas related to its activities. The significant role of women in these matters is also reflected in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-314 dated October 22, 2025.
In order to improve the efficiency of women’s professional activities, a “Women’s Club” has been established within the Ministry. Within the framework of the club, various seminars and training sessions are organized, along with roundtable discussions involving professional psychologists, which provide practical assistance in addressing many current issues and challenges faced by women.

To improve women’s quality of life and provide cultural recreation, various events have been organized in recreational areas. In accordance with paragraph 10 of Presidential Decree No. PF-87 dated March 7, 2022, systematic work has been established in subordinate organizations and lower-level divisions of the Ministry on women’s issues. In particular, more than 30% of the Ministry’s central office staff are women.

Women also make a significant contribution to the analysis of investment projects, participation in international negotiations, and the effective implementation of programs aimed at supporting entrepreneurship.

In addition, female staff of the Ministry actively participate in the implementation of digitalization processes, the application of innovative approaches, and reforms aimed at improving the quality of public services, thereby contributing to the development of a modern, open, and transparent public administration system.

The Ministry consistently implements initiatives aimed at improving working conditions for women, supporting their development, strengthening social protection, and expanding opportunities for professional growth.

Systematic efforts have been organized to ensure women’s participation in training seminars to enhance their qualifications and apply their skills in practice. Today, many women working within the Ministry hold leadership positions such as heads of departments and deputy heads, continuously improving their professional competence.
At the same time, their efforts are fairly recognized and rewarded, including through the awarding of badges and other honors.
