In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry acts as a member of the secretariats of intergovernmental commissions (committees, councils, and working groups) on trade, economic, and investment issues with foreign countries. It participates in the formation and comprehensive qualitative preparation of proposals on promising areas of cooperation in the field of trade and investment with the relevant partner countries, as well as in the implementation of the agreements reached and principles.

The Ministry also promotes the establishment of industrial and scientific-technical cooperation of business entities of the republic with foreign companies, as well as the creation of joint ventures and the development of other forms of joint entrepreneurship.

In addition, the Ministry carries out its activities directly and in cooperation with other government bodies, local executive authorities, public associations, and other organizations.
