Governor Khayrullo Bozorov warmly congratulated sector employees on their professional holiday—Agriculture Workers’ Day—and the Harvest Festival. He also extended congratulations to eight devoted professionals from Fergana who were recently awarded high state honors—titles, orders, and medals—by Presidential decree, expressing confidence that the number of awardees in the region will continue to grow.
The Governor noted that under the leadership of the Head of State, major reforms are underway in agriculture, and that during the 10 December meeting with sector representatives, a number of new initiatives were advanced and important decisions for the system were adopted.
It was emphasized that 2025 has been a year of unprecedented transformation in Fergana’s agriculture, marked by significant milestones and the practical impact of new knowledge and opportunities entering the sector. Thanks to advanced practices in cotton and grain production, yields have increased—cotton can reach 70–90 centners per hectare, while grain yields are approaching 100 centners per hectare.
Fergana is also achieving notable results in horticulture, fruit-and-vegetable growing, and livestock. Promising projects in processing, logistics, and export are being implemented, and the region’s agricultural products are now exported to 67 countries, with demand rising year on year.
Addressing all branches of agriculture, the Governor also outlined priority tasks going forward, noting that measures are being defined to elevate the sector to a new level through international best practices, modern technologies, and the application of scientific achievements.
At the ceremony, Husanboy Gofurov was presented with the Order “For Selfless Service.”
As part of the Harvest Festival, a group of farmers, leading veterans, and sector employees who achieved high results received the badges “Devotee of Agriculture,” “Excellence in Water Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” “Leading Farmer,” “Exemplary Household Plot Owner,” “Diligent Farmer,” and “Devotee of Veterinary Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” along with certificates of appreciation from the Governor and commemorative gifts.
A concert program featuring beloved artists Botir Qodirov, Alisher Fayz, and Ziyoda gave the audience a festive mood.
