Ahead of the fixture, Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met in Kokand with the team’s coaching staff and players to review the season and current results. It was noted that under head coach Bahrom Haydarov the team has been playing attractive, successful football and approached the final rounds in high spirits; confidence was expressed in a win in tomorrow’s match against Sogdiana.
The Governor underlined the goal to make Fergana the football capital of Uzbekistan, to lift Kokand-1912 into the medal places, and to bring the Uzbekistan Cup to Kokand. He stressed that these ambitions require thorough preparation and hard work. As one of the first football clubs in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, the team should pursue confident victories through unity and collective effort.
It was announced that all necessary conditions and strong support will be provided for the team. Follow-up actions were agreed at the meeting, and the Governor wished the squad every success.
