According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, starting from May 1, 2026, “Car-Free Day” and “Car-Free Week” campaigns are to be held on the 10th and 25th of every month. During these campaigns, the use of official vehicles assigned to civil servants is strictly prohibited.
This initiative aims to reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere, protect public health, promote a healthy lifestyle, and foster an environmentally sustainable environment. In addition, it encourages the use of public transportation and environmentally friendly means of mobility.
The “Car-Free Day” and “Car-Free Week” campaigns are designed to increase citizens’ environmental awareness and encourage the use of eco-friendly transportation in everyday life. This contributes to improved air quality, the creation of a comfortable and healthy urban environment, and the preservation of nature.
We encourage our fellow citizens to actively participate in the “Car-Free Day” and “Car-Free Week” campaigns by using public transportation, bicycles, and other environmentally friendly means of transport.
Maintaining a clean environment, protecting natural resources, and creating a healthy ecological atmosphere in our country are responsibilities shared by all of us. Let us support this important initiative and contribute to the protection of nature.
