The event was jointly organized by the State Environmental Expertise Center and the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan. During the event, member of the party faction N. Yusupov delivered a speech on the history of our national independence and statehood, its invaluable significance for the present and future of our country, as well as the essence and importance of the recent updates introduced to the Constitution.
It was emphasized that today special attention is being paid to strengthening the ideological and artistic content of the celebrations dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This serves to widely promote the essence of the reforms being implemented in the country, instill the ideas of independence in the minds of the population, especially young people, and strengthen citizens’ sense of responsibility and involvement in the destiny and future of the Motherland.
As noted during the event, the declaration of independence became one of the most significant turning points in the centuries-old history of our people. As a sovereign state, Uzbekistan acquired its own Constitution, national symbols, and currency. It was also highlighted that during the early years of independence, strategic tasks aimed at strengthening the foundations of statehood, maintaining internal stability, and preserving interethnic harmony were successfully accomplished.
The event particularly recognized the new stage of development that began in 2016. It was noted that the rapid reforms launched through the “Action Strategy” and the “Development Strategy” are now being consistently continued within the framework of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy. It was explained that the core principle of this strategy is “For Human Dignity,” and that the activities of all state institutions are aimed at improving the well-being of the population.
In short, the solid foundation created during the years of independence is today serving the construction of a New Uzbekistan — a country that has its own place and voice in the international community.
