The experience of Korea in digitalizing the environmental expertise system is being studied

The event is organized the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between the Center for State ecological expertise and the Korea environment Institute (KEI).
It should be noted that cooperation between the Center for State Ecological Expertise and KEI has been successfully developing since November 2024.
“Cooperation with the Korea Environment Institute is an important factor in advancing the environmental assessment system in Uzbekistan in line with international standards. This event opens up new opportunities to accelerate digital transformation in the field of environmental expertise,” said G. Mukhamedov, Director General of the Center for State ecological expertise.
Within the framework of the workshop, participants are gaining in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the following areas:
— experience in developing and implementing the Environmental Impact Assessment Information System (EIASS) in the Republic of Korea;
— strategic plans for updating and expanding EIASS, as well as directions for its modernization;
— research findings and innovative approaches in the field of digital environmental impact assessment;
— opportunities for applying artificial intelligence in environmental expertise and monitoring;
— use of satellite data for remote environmental monitoring.
In addition, members of the delegation will familiarize themselves with best practices in green zone design.
This seminar is directly linked to ongoing reforms aimed at digitalizing the environmental expertise system in Uzbekistan. Studying the Korean experience will enable specialists of the Center for State Ecological Expertise to apply advanced solutions in developing a digital platform for environmental impact assessment. Furthermore, negotiations on prospective joint projects and new areas of cooperation are planned during the event.
The long-term partnership between the Center for State Ecological Expertise and KEI serves as a clear example of the National Committee for Ecology’s consistent policy to expand international cooperation and improve the environmental management system based on modern standards.
