Improvement of drinking water supply and sewerage system in Andijan region

This project is being implemented within the framework of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-257 dated May 24, 2022. It is financed with the participation of the Asian Development Bank and carried out under the program “Climate-Resilient Water Supply and Sanitation Services.”
The public hearings were attended by local residents, chairpersons of citizens’ assemblies, representatives of government bodies, environmental organizations, and project initiators.
During the event, detailed information was presented on the main goals and objectives of the project, its implementation stages, as well as its potential environmental impact. In addition, measures to minimize environmental risks during construction works were discussed.
Specialists delivered presentations and explained the planned activities for the development of drinking water supply and sewerage systems. It was emphasized that creating convenience for the population, improving sanitary conditions, and ensuring environmental sustainability are among the project’s key priorities.
During the hearings, suggestions and opinions of citizens were taken into account, contributing to ensuring openness and transparency in the project implementation.
It should be noted that such projects play an important role in protecting public health, improving living standards, and developing modern infrastructure.
