In particular, the target to increase gross domestic product to 160 billion US dollars by 2030 was achieved ahead of schedule. In addition, by 2025 the share of renewable energy sources in total energy consumption reached 30 percent, and the area of specially protected natural territories amounted to 14.2 percent instead of the planned 12 percent. These results necessitate the identification of new, more ambitious benchmarks and objectives.
In the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan on 26 December 2025, special emphasis was placed on the need to revise the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy in light of the significant achievements attained and new priority tasks.
In this regard, a draft Presidential Decree on additional measures aimed at bringing the country’s development up to 2030 to a new stage has been submitted for public discussion.
The updated strategy covers such key areas as ensuring sustainable economic growth, strengthening social justice, developing human capital, and enhancing environmental sustainability.
In this process, the active participation of people’s representatives — deputies — as well as the broad public, contributes to the effective implementation of the ongoing reforms.
Therefore, the active participation of every citizen in discussing this crucial strategy that determines the future of the country, and taking into account the proposals and comments put forward, serve as a solid foundation for the further development of New Uzbekistan. This document, which is of decisive importance for the five-year stage of the country’s development, will be consistently improved based on public opinion.
