Rules for Ensuring the Safety of Radiation Sources Have Been Approved

🔰 These rules establish the procedure for ensuring the safety of newly built and reconstructed radiation sources that are not classified as nuclear facilities within the territory of Uzbekistan.
❇️ Operating organizations are required to meet the following safety requirements for radiation sources, including:
🔸 use of radiation sources in accordance with project and technological documentation, and ensuring their proper technical condition;
🔸 taking measures to ensure public safety in emergency or accident situations.
✅ The elimination of deviations from project requirements in the use of radiation sources must include:
➖ identification of deviations and elimination of their causes;
➖ control of deviations via technical systems and activation of automatic safety systems.
📝 The multi-level safety program must define organizational measures and technical solutions in the project based on the hazard level of the radiation sources.
✔️ Project documentation must include analysis of the reliability of automatic safety systems, potential accidents, and their consequences, with corrective actions for any identified malfunctions.
