Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

According to the Resolution, the Committee is tasked with state supervision and inspection of compliance by legal and natural persons with legislation and technical regulations in the fields of industrial, radiation, and nuclear safety, including the use of elevators and amusement park rides.

📌 In Q3 2025, the Committee:

• Carried out 17,532 preventive actions (plan: 5,200).

• Tested the knowledge of 9,766 personnel in industrial, labor, and technical safety (plan: 6,530).

• Achieved 100% issuance of licenses and permits via electronic systems, per Cabinet Resolutions No. 80 and No. 86.

• Registered 3,362 technical facilities and equipment (plan: 2,570; 131% completion).

📊 Regional statistics for 9 months of 2025:

• 1,063 official state inspections.

• 14,428 violations detected.

• Administrative fines totaling 973.4 million UZS imposed on 988 individuals.

• 353 million UZS collected on 669 fines.

• 23 incidents and 3 accidents occurred, with damages exceeding 1.5 billion UZS.

⛽ National Working Group:

• Checked 6,350 fuel stations and facilities in 14 regions.

• Identified 26,359 safety violations.

• 600 stations temporarily closed.

• 459 reopened after fixing 18,132 issues.

🔥 Preparation of heating boilers in the social sector:

• Inspected 47,877 boiler rooms with 68,031 boilers.

• 6,040 boilers examined; 5,004 (83%) had deficiencies.

• As of October, 969 had been repaired.

📨 Public complaints:

• 4,684 received:

  • 4,033 resolved positively;

  • 84 under review;

  • 567 rejected.

🎡 Amusement ride inspections:

• Checked 1,588 rides in 151 parks.

• Found:

  • 39 homemade units (no passport/label);

  • 128 defective;

  • 84 in need of repair;

  • 181 operating without permits.

• 149 unsafe rides disconnected from power.

• 121 unsafe/homemade rides decommissioned.

🚠 Elevator safety:

• On July 12, 2025, the Cabinet approved the Technical Regulation and Inspection Procedure for Elevators.

• Introduced:

  • Responsibility of economic operators;

  • Market surveillance system;

  • Modular conformity assessment;

  • National conformity labeling;

  • Full alignment with international standards.

☢️ Radiation and nuclear safety:

• Held 800+ training and awareness sessions with radiologists.

• Covered: X-ray devices, isotopes, radioactive substances, nuclear materials, safety norms.

• Audited 230+ organizations, uncovered 200+ violations.

• Responsible individuals were penalized.

🌍 International cooperation:

• 7 events held in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2025.
