FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION: “HONESTY VACCINE”

The seminar was attended by specialists and lecturers from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State University of Law, who delivered presentations.
As emphasized during the event, in the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy (2022–2026), combating corruption has been identified as one of the top priorities. In particular, measures are envisaged to eliminate conflicts of interest in the activities of state bodies, strengthen public oversight, identify high-risk areas of corruption, and systematically address them.
The participants were also provided with detailed information about international practices and legal frameworks in the fight against corruption, including UN and other international conventions, foreign country practices, as well as Uzbekistan’s legal and institutional framework in this sphere.
Special attention was given to potential corruption risks in the field of industrial safety, situations of conflict of interest, and mechanisms to prevent them.
In addition, the seminar explained the essence of the main legal documents:
- The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Combating Corruption”,
- The Law “On State Civil Service”,
- The Law “On Conflict of Interest”,
- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No.595 “On additional measures to ensure compliance with the rules of conduct by civil servants”.
The seminar also provided recommendations for preventing corruption and conflicts of interest.
In conclusion, issues aimed at preventing such negative phenomena in the activities of civil servants were discussed. Participants received answers to theoretical and practical questions, deepened their knowledge, and gained practical skills.
