Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, the parties discussed the results achieved, ongoing activities, and future plans for the application of nuclear technologies in various sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy, including energy, medicine, and agriculture. Representatives of the international agency emphasized Uzbekistan’s significant progress in developing its nuclear program and highlighted the active role of the country’s government, which serves as a foundation for expanding the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on the prospects for further cooperation between Uzbekistan and the IAEA. Both sides confirmed their readiness to continue dialogue and joint work on projects aimed at developing nuclear technologies in the interests of sustainable development, as well as implementing advanced technologies that ensure the safety and efficiency of nuclear energy use.
