UZBEKISTAN DELEGATION IN AUSTRIA

The Republic of Uzbekistan is represented at the conference by a delegation that includes officials from the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Energy, the “Uzatom” Agency, and other organizations.
More than 170 member states are participating in the conference. Discussions cover the Agency’s main agenda items, including the 2024 annual report, the 2026 budget, prospects for the development of nuclear science and technology, as well as issues of global nuclear safety.
The Chairman of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, Abduvaqqos Rafiqov, is also taking part in the event.
Within the framework of the conference, meetings are scheduled between the delegation and the IAEA leadership, including Deputy Director General Liu Hua, to discuss the status of national projects being implemented in Uzbekistan, existing challenges, and the development of mutually acceptable solutions.
In addition, bilateral meetings are planned with IAEA Deputy Directors General M. Apparo, M. Chudakov, and K. Ervieu, as well as with the heads of foreign regulatory authorities: “Rostekhnadzor” (Russian Federation), “NDK” (Turkey), “UJD” (Slovakia), “PNRA” (Pakistan), “ANRS” (Georgia), and “HAEA” (Hungary).
