In this spirit, the staff of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety visited the “Museum of Remembrance of Victims of Repression.”
The committee employees also visited the “Memorial of Remembrance of Martyrs,” where they became acquainted with the museum’s exhibits. Young representatives of the sector honored the memory of our compatriots who showed courage and sacrificed their lives for the freedom, peace, and independence of the Motherland, listening to stories connected with their heroism.
The staff emphasized that such spiritual and educational events are of great importance for preserving the country’s history, cherishing the memory of devoted compatriots, and strengthening the sense of patriotism and loyalty in the hearts of the youth.
The event was full of impressions and left a lasting memory.

On May 12, 2000, the “Memorial of Remembrance of Martyrs” was opened in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent.

According to the Presidential Decree of May 1, 2001, “On Establishing the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Repression,” the “Museum of Remembrance of Victims of Repression” was created within the memorial complex.

The museum was officially opened on August 31, 2002, on the very first “Day of Remembrance of Victims of Repression” celebrated in the country.
