FIELD EXERCISES ON CBRN SAFETY LAUNCHED IN SAMARKAND

On August 25, 2025, regional field exercises dedicated to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) safety were launched in Samarkand under the leadership of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety.
The exercises are being conducted within the framework of the European Union’s project “Field Exercises on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety,” based on the relevant Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The main objective of the field training is to enhance the readiness and response capabilities of ministries and agencies, particularly in countering radiological and chemical threats.
The Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety is implementing the training in cooperation with the European Union. The exercises will continue until August 29.
