Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event is attended by the Counterpart Project Coordinator of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Assistant National Liaison (NLA) Coordinator, international cooperation specialists, and other experts.

During the event, suggestions by Ugur Bezdegumeli, Technical Officer for the country from the IAEA Department of Safety, are being presented, and participants are discussing and defining the next stages of the project, taking into account relevant feedback and proposals.

This event supports the implementation of the project aimed at strengthening the regulatory framework and infrastructure for effective regulation and control of radiation facilities and sources by the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department of the Committee, as well as enables participants to familiarize themselves with IAEA recommendations and experience, and to exchange information about best practices, challenges, and opportunities in the field.
