Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

At the meeting, responsible staff members of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, A. Mukhamedjanov and D. Mukhamedov, are delivering a national presentation highlighting the work carried out in this field in Uzbekistan, national legal frameworks, and existing capacities.

The event is attended by representatives of IAEA member states, as well as international specialists and experts in the field. The main goal of the meeting is to discuss best practices in the safe management of disused radioactive sources, analyze current legal and technical approaches, and enhance information exchange and international cooperation in this direction. The meeting contributes to strengthening nuclear safety, preventing the unauthorized circulation of radioactive materials, and expanding international collaboration on their safe management.
