TECHNICAL COOPERATION WITH THE IAEA

From May 14 to 16, 2025, a national coordination meeting on technical cooperation programs with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was held at the “Silk Road by Minyoun” hotel in Samarkand. The event was hosted by the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting discussed the outcomes of current IAEA technical cooperation projects in Uzbekistan, explored available opportunities, and outlined future priority areas. The main goal of the event was to strengthen collaboration with the IAEA, exchange experience, and support projects focused on sustainable development. The meeting was attended by the official IAEA representative Eve-Kulli Kala, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety Sardorbek Yakubekov, relevant ministry and agency officials, as well as National Liaison Officers (NLOs) from 33 countries.
