From May 12 to 16, 2025, the 13th Meeting of the Working Group on the Safety of Radioactive Material is being held at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria. The event is attended by leadership and specialists from the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety.
The objective of the event is to exchange information on IAEA activities in ensuring the safety of radioactive materials, and to discuss regulatory and legal matters, common challenges, and practical solutions in this field. Experts from more than 60 countries are participating. Topics under discussion include measures to ensure the safe transport, storage, and use of radioactive materials. A representative of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Department of the Committee is participating in the event.
