According to the preliminary investigation, although the facility was authorized only to provide LPG refueling services for motor vehicles, it had also been filling domestic gas cylinders in violation of the established regulatory requirements.

🚚 At the time of the incident, six domestic gas cylinders transported in a LABO vehicle were being filled with liquefied petroleum gas.

⚠️ Preliminary findings indicate that the 100-liter domestic gas cylinders were filled using a homemade adapter (connector).

💥 While the third cylinder was being filled, the hose ruptured and became detached from the connection point. The pressurized hose struck a hard surface, generating sparks that triggered a chain explosion of the gas cylinders.

🔥 As a result of the incident:

▪️ 2 gas cylinders exploded;

▪️ 4 gas cylinders caught fire and sustained severe mechanical damage.

🚑 Three individuals suffered burn injuries of varying severity.

▪️ Two victims sustained moderate burns covering 12–15% of their bodies;

▪️ One victim sustained severe burns covering approximately 80% of the body.

All injured individuals are currently receiving the necessary medical treatment.

👥 A preliminary investigation is currently being conducted at the scene under the supervision of A. Isoqjonov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, with the participation of Committee specialists, law enforcement agencies, and other competent authorities.

⚖️ A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

🧪 A comprehensive forensic examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the explosion and fire.

🚫 Filling domestic gas cylinders using equipment intended for refueling motor vehicles is strictly prohibited.

🚫 The use of homemade adapters, defective hoses, or equipment that does not comply with technical safety standards constitutes a serious violation of legal and industrial safety requirements.

📑 All LPG filling stations must strictly comply with the conditions of their operating licenses, industrial and fire safety regulations, and applicable technological procedures.

⚖️ Violations of industrial safety requirements will result in legal liability in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
