A Law on Industrial Safety Discussed at the Senate Committee

The Law is aimed at improving relations in the field of industrial safety, preventing accidents and incidents, and ensuring the safety of human life, health, and the environment.
🔹 According to the Law, along with hazardous production facilities, potentially hazardous facilities are also being included within the scope of legal regulation. In particular, industrial safety requirements are being established for elevators, escalators, amusement rides, lifting mechanisms, and wind power plants.
🔹 The Law also clarifies the legal status of expert organizations and experts in the field of industrial safety, while introducing an audit of the industrial safety management system.
🔹 The procedures for identifying, examining, and declaring hazardous production facilities are being improved. At the same time, financial sanctions for violating industrial safety requirements and mechanisms for compulsory insurance are also envisaged.
🔹 In addition, provisions are being introduced to digitalize processes in the sector and ensure data exchange through electronic systems.
Following the discussions, the Committee adopted relevant decisions regarding the Law.
