Based on the relevant order of the Chairman of the Committee, it was determined that starting from May 1, 2026, the "Car-Free Day" and "Car-Free Week" campaigns will be held on the 10th and 25th of every month within the committee's system.
As part of this environmental campaign, the following strict requirements were set for the committee's employees on the designated dates:
-
The use of official corporate vehicles is strictly prohibited.
-
It is recommended to mainly use public transport, as well as eco-friendly means like bicycles, for commuting to and from work.
Notably, the use of motor vehicles by civil servants on these days is equated to a violation of the code of ethics, and if such cases are identified, the issue of bringing the employees to disciplinary liability will be considered.
🚴♂️ Initiative in Practice: Employees Lead by Example
As part of the execution of the order, a special, healthy atmosphere prevails around the committee building today. Most employees arrived at work not in their personal cars, but on bicycles. This is not only a contribution to keeping our capital's air clean but also an excellent opportunity to strengthen the physical health of the employees.
As a practical proof of the adopted decision, the committee's parking lot looks completely different today than usual. The parking lot is absolutely empty, and all official vehicles are left in their places without being driven.
"Car-Free Day" events are an important step towards preserving nature, reducing traffic jams on city streets, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The team of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety intends to strictly continue such events in the future.
