Illegal "Batuts" Threatening Children's Lives! The Committee Warns: Strict Measures Will Be Taken Against BATUTs That Do Not Meet Legal Requirements!

Currently, there is an increasing number of cases involving the illegal use of inflatable amusement rides (batuts) in crowded places and amusement parks located in the capital. Studies show that most of these rides have not passed the appropriate technical tests, lack operating permits, and do not have technical passports. Furthermore, they are connected to power grids in a dangerous manner that violates safety rules, without coordinating designated locations.
Illegal Activity
These illegal amusement rides have been put into operation in complete violation of the requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 886 dated December 26, 2024, "On the approval of the technical regulation on amusement ride safety and the regulation on the procedure for accounting and maintaining the state register of amusement rides." Their compliance with safety requirements has not been verified by competent authorities.
What is the main danger?
Visitors to such rides are mainly children under 15 years old. Failure to comply with safety rules can lead to the following extremely severe consequences, accidents, physical injuries, or fatalities:
-
Wind hazard: Tipping over or being blown away by strong winds due to inflatable rides not being correctly and securely anchored to the ground;
-
Electrical hazard: Electric shocks to children during rain and damp conditions due to exposed and illegal connections to power grids;
-
Biomechanical hazards: Bone fractures or other severe injuries to children as a result of falling into holes, gaps, tears, and faulty tunnels on the surface of the ride.
What measures are being taken?
In order to prevent the above-mentioned risks and ensure children's safety, the Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety has initiated concrete practical actions.
In particular, raid events are being conducted in cooperation with the regional departments of the Committee, as well as the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the National Guard, and district and city municipalities. Special application forms have been distributed to responsible agencies to identify violations and immediately stop the operation of inflatable amusement rides operating illegally without licenses and permits.
Appeal to Parents
The Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety calls on parents to be vigilant. Choose only legal amusement rides that are registered in the state register, have special permits, and fully meet safety rules for your children to play on. Uncontrolled batuts installed on the street are a direct source of danger to the life and health of your child!
Ride owners and entrepreneurs are required to strictly comply with current legislation and the requirements of Resolution No. 886. Otherwise, strict legal measures will be taken against such illegal activities.
