Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

🔹 According to the document:

— the powers of the Atomic Energy Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been clarified;
— the responsibilities of the Ministry of Energy in the field of atomic energy use have been defined;
— the norms regulating the participation and responsibility of local executive authorities in this field have been improved;
— the mechanisms of public administration to ensure nuclear and radiation safety have been strengthened.

🏛 The amendments also provide for:

✅ strengthening the legal status of the authorized state body;
✅ clarifying the procedures for developing and implementing state programs and other sectoral programs;
✅ improving mechanisms for international cooperation and the fulfillment of obligations under international treaties;
✅ revising certain powers in the areas of emergency preparedness, supervision, and inspections.

📢 In addition, tasks have been defined to inform the public about the content of the Law, ensure its implementation, and harmonize regulatory legal acts in this field.

📅 This Law enters into force from the date of its official publication.
