Regional Training Exercise Launched to Strengthen Radiological and Nuclear Security

The primary goal of the event is to strengthen regional capacity to prevent attempts at the illegal circulation of radiological and nuclear materials, as well as to enhance the practical skills of specialists working in this field.
Participants of the exercise include experts from the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, the Customs Committee, the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Emergency Situations, and Health, the Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, and the General Prosecutor’s Office.
The event was officially opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Sardorbek Sayfutdinbekovich Yakubekov, who delivered welcoming remarks. In his address, he emphasized that ensuring regional security, preventing incidents, and strengthening interagency cooperation are among the key priorities today.
This training exercise represents an important step toward enhancing radiological and nuclear security in Central Asia and improving professional preparedness among specialists.
