The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted on December 8, 1992 at the 11th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since that day, the development of our country has continued based on the principles of the rule of law, the guarantee of human rights and freedoms, people's sovereignty and the separation of powers. The Basic Law is not only a set of norms, but also a foundation that embodies the views of society on the future, noble aspirations and aspirations.
The Constitution guarantees the fundamental rights of every citizen, such as the inviolability of honor and dignity, freedom of speech and belief, the right to education and labor, and social protection. It defines the democratic, legal and social content of the state; clearly indicates the powers between central and local government bodies, the independence of the judicial system, and the role of civil society institutions. Therefore, our Basic Law is the legal basis of every reform, and the daily life of citizens is its practical expression.
Over the years, amendments and additions to the Constitution have expanded the scope of rights and freedoms in accordance with the demands of the times and the needs of society, and have strengthened innovations in areas such as state administration, local self-government, judiciary, and social policy. This process, in turn, shows that democratic values have been deepened and the priority of human interests has been further strengthened.
On December 8, educational institutions, neighborhoods, and public organizations across our country will hold spiritual and educational meetings, open classes, quizzes, and exhibitions. The main goal of the events is to strengthen the ideas of respect for the Constitution, obedience to the law, civic responsibility, and loyalty to the Motherland. Because knowing and following the Basic Law is the duty of every citizen and an important condition for the development of the state.
The Constitution is not just a document, it is the most reliable guide to building a free and just society, a solid foundation that connects the present and future of our country.
