The project “A Thousand Books for Youth,” initiated by the head of our state, has begun to bear fruit as the largest cultural movement combining the power of science, thought, and translation.
The project is a large platform that brings together the works of world-famous authors, scientific and fiction books in the Uzbek language, allowing our youth to study the world, think, and be inspired.
To date: within the framework of the project, 113 works have been selected based on the recommendations of experts, and the translation rights for 85 books have been purchased. The translation of 58 works has been completed. 27 books have been published in 3,000 copies each, a total of 81,000 copies.
These books cover about 40 disciplines, such as philosophy, economics, politics, history, ecology, education, biology, sociology, law, art, and culture.
The "1000BOOKS Caravan", which recently traveled to the regions, enriched 205 libraries, 50 state organizations, and 97 higher education institutions across our republic with these works.
