Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The “First Step into Work” volunteer program is helping guide youth in Furqat and Rishton districts of the Fergana region toward vocational skills and making their free time meaningful.

As part of the program, dozens of young people met face-to-face with skilled artisans, observed their work processes firsthand, and began learning the secrets of the craft directly from their mentors.

In Rishton – 20 young people started learning pottery at “Mingboshi Ceramic” and “Alisher Nazirov Pottery School.”

In Furqat – 20 young people are exploring the secrets of woodworking at the “Usta Yusufjon naqqosh” family enterprise.

In both cases, based on the master-apprentice tradition, the youth are taking their first steps into the world of work. This initiative serves as a solid foundation for choosing their future career paths.
