On January 14, 1992, by the decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan were established. In connection with this, since 1993, January 14 has been celebrated in our country as Defenders of the Motherland Day. This day is dedicated to honoring military personnel, veterans, and all those who fulfill their duty with great responsibility in the Armed Forces system.
Defenders of the Motherland Day is an opportunity to recognize those who ensure peace and stability in our country, sacrificing themselves for the security of the people. This holiday is not only for the military but also for every citizen who contributes to the defense of the homeland.
January 14 remains a symbol of national pride, patriotism, and a day that unites our people in expressing respect and gratitude to the defenders of the nation.
