The ideas of Uzbekistan’s young innovators are turning into real products, while their small initiatives are growing into ambitious business ventures. The UzCombinator program provides them with the knowledge, practical experience, and opportunities to connect with investors.
Throughout the 45-day accelerator program, participants work with experienced mentors, improve their products, and prepare to pitch to investors. Each participant receives a $1,000 stipend, a comfortable workspace, meals, and access to essential technological resources.
Take a look at the results:
-
Over two seasons, the program received 5,036 applications, with 55 startups selected.
-
Startups attracted $960,000 in investment during the first season, while 17 startups secured $2.155 million in the second season — a 2.2-fold increase.
-
Of the 23 startups that pitched at Demo Day, 17 secured investment, representing a 74% success rate.
Some standout achievements from the second season:
-
Core AI — founder Sanjarbek Raxmonov raised $800,000 in investment.
